Single side A5 flyer design for London is the place for me 2016; a Caribbean One Day Festival taking place this May at the British Museum. As well as the events details the flyer includes the schedule for the day's events. For the colour palette the aim was to try and use fresh colours, seeing as it's a Caribbean festival, but as there's a lot of content to be included I also used a lot of black to balance the overall look.
By the end of the year, Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago will have passed the 50 years mark of political independence since the European flags came down in the Caribbean and attentions turned to settlement, new beginnings and self determination. Writers, Broadcasters and thinkers from the Caribbean and England probe the wide-ranging narratives of independence and discuss and present perspectives as they have altered over decades.
